An Overview
July 7 2005 brought about a fundamental challenge to policing in the UK with the devastating terrorist attacks in the UK.
7/7 also raised awareness of terrorism to a permanently elevated level in the minds of the UK public.
Terrorist activity can come from a variety of sources and anti-terrorist policing has been a priority for West Midlands Police for several years.
West Midlands Police role is to protect, and support the people of the West Midlands and our message to the public is to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
